The natural resources used for making Lamp Shades, – Banana leaf, Kozo, Mulberry, and Mango, Mulberry bark (Thailand), Flax (Europe), Pineapple leaves (Philippines), and Jute (Bangladesh) – produce papers of great variety and beauty, that encourage creativity. Leaves, petals and flowers are often added to the finished paper, further enhancing the finished effect. Many plants with long fibres in their leaves or stems can be used to make paper, some of which were once considered worthless, but can now be harvested to produce beautiful hand made pieces. Also, because most stages are done by hand, little energy is used, and the environment isn`t damaged. Our lamp shades are created using the finest quality, hand-crafted papers and glue. Each Lamp-shade is made from one or more layers of very thin, coloured paper combined using a special process to create lamps which are beautiful to look at, both lit and unlit, and also quite unique.
