  The tree of life standard lamps and also the coffee table and table lamps are made from a variety of woods, with several pieces being `shaped` to suggest forms, then grafted onto the main upright, which has oftern been cut down, debarked and treated before being carved. The flat bases are usually mahogany, and with the table lamps and the standard lamp, ancient bogwood is used. This has firstly been dug up, all the rotten wood, vegetable matter and dirt and debris cut away, then soaked and treated before the carvin, sanding g and shaping begins. The finished pieces are usually varnished, but beeswax is also used on occasions. I also produce the hand made paper shades, but these are not currently available.
