The pieces of this pendant were hand cut with piercing saws from
aluminium, then filed and sanded to finish. The middle flower was painted and then all
attached together with a bead at the centre to make this pretty flower
pendant.
It is strung on
silver cord. 3 x 3 cm approx
|
Each pendant is collaged by hand from
recycled paper, then covered with plastic and soldered together with a wave
frame.
It is then strung on organic hemp
cord.

I try to source my materials ethically, many of my pieces are made from
recycled or found materials, as well as from organic sources. For example I use
organic hemp, (which is better for the environment as it
uses no toxic chemicals), recycled plastics (such as plastics collected whilst
beachcombing, which has washed up and which otherwise not only looks unsightly, but can
harm and kill wildlife), household plastics such as shampoo bottles and containers that
would otherwise go in the bin, scrap metal (which is reused by cutting and drilling to
make pendants). I also experiement with beads, fimo, shells, pebbles, solder, clay and
threads to make unique and unusual pieces.
I am inspired by the world around me, by nature and
by the sea and love to experiment with different materials and tools to make something
new and wearable.
